Five Point Check

  1. VOICE LEVEL 0-1

  2. Hands behind back or at sides

Be Respectful and Caring

  • Use kind words.

  • Follow directions for the teacher when they are given.

  • Keep your hands and your feet to yourself.

  • Rocks are not to be picked up or thrown at others.

Be Responsible

  • Students need to wear shoes appropriate for running and climbing.

  • All students should line up immediately at the teachers' signal.

Be Safe

  • Play safely on the rocks.

  • On the slides, go UP the stairs and DOWN the slide, one person at a time.

  • On the swings, swing back and forth only and not side to side.

  • Do not jump off the swings.

Be a Peaceful Problem Solver

  • If a problem occurs, seek help from a teacher.

  • Use kind words.

  • Walk away from uncomfortable situations.

0= Silence

1= Whisper

2= Conversational or Inside Voice

3= Outside or Emergency Voice

Be Respectful

  • Display good manners.

  • Listen to the guest speaker.

  • Show your appreciation by clapping your hands at the end of the presentation.

  • Voice Level 0

  • Keep comments to yourself.

Be Responsible and Safe

  • If seated on the floor, sit on your bottom with legs crossed.

  • If sitting in the bleachers, it on the seat with your feet down.

  • Allow enough space between you and the people next to you, in front of you and behind you.

  • Use the restroom before the program.

Be a Peaceful Problem Solver

  • Should there be a problem, quietly get up and tell your teacher.

 

  1. Students who are not using the bathroom or are waiting to use the bathroom will wait quietly in line.  VOICE LEVEL 0-1.

  2. Students may get a drink when they have finished using the bathroom. Students who do not need to use the bathroom may use the bathroom may leave the line to get a drink.  Students may return to the end of the line when finished getting a drink and/or using the bathroom.

Inside the Bathroom Procedures

Be Respectful

  • Use VOICE LEVEL 1

  • Give others privacy by not peeking or staring.

Be Responsible

  • Flush the toilet.

  • Wash hands using one "push" of soap.

  • When drying hands, students may use 3 cranks of paper towel.

  • Walk up to the trash can and drop the towels into it.

  • Pick up paper towels if it falls on the floor.

  • When you are finished, leave the bathroom immediately.

Be Safe

  • Only enter the bathroom if you need to use it.

  • Use the bathroom quietly and respectfully.

  • Should there be a problem, get help from a teacher.

 

Bus Expectations

Be Respectful

  • Greet your bus driver by name

  • Talk with VOICE LEVEL 2.

  • Keep your feet and hands to yourself.

Be Responsible

  • Keep you backpack on the seat or hold it in your lap.

Be Safe

  • Sit in your assigned seat.

  • Stay seated.

  • Remain in your seat until the bus has come to a complete stop.

  • Candy can be a choking hazard.

Be Caring

  • Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

  • Use kind words and appropriate language.

Be a Peaceful Problem Solver

  • Use kind words.

  • If you need help, at an appropriate and safe time, signal or ask the bus driver to help you.

 

Entering and Leaving

Procedures

 

Arrival

  • FIVE POINT CHECK

  • Go directly to the classroom. Please walk.

  • If you brought your lunch, put it in the cafeteria.

  • If you are eating breakfast, go to the cafeteria.

Dismissal

  • FIVE POINT CHECK

  • Walk to the bus.

  • Grades K-2 car riders will go to their hallway.

  • Grades 3-4 car riders will go to the cafeteria.

  • Car riders will be dismissed at the bell.
