This WebQuest is designed to help you better understand the types of Biomes that are on the Earth.  A biome is a major geographical region, composed of plants and animals that are adapted to the region's physical environment, including weather and climate.  The biomes that will be studied in this Webquest are: Tundra, Taiga, Temperate Forest, Chaparral, Tropical Rainforest, Desert, and Grassland. 

For this activity, you will be divided into groups.  Each student will be responsible for a part of the project, and all students are expected/required to participate in the information gathering, and presentation.  While completing this WebQuest, you will learn more about each biome, and the major characteristics of each Biome.  The links to the left on each page will guide you through this WebQuest activity.  If at any time you have questions, please ask your teacher.
